Each evening will be dedicated to a topic of tango fundamentals which will allow you to deepen and liberate your tango dancing, whatever your style (open or closed embrace, contemporary, Salon, etc.).
Work will be gradual and progressive along each evening and along the whole week as well so you might want to attend the whole seminar to benefit from a truly in-depth work. However each group class is self-sufficient in order to give everyone the opportunity to learn specific skills in every one of them.
Monday 9th: "Density"
Weight vs Density, trying to avoid misunderstanding. For us, the notion of Density leads to the apprehension of several textures and feelings of the abrazo as well as of the link to the floor. We will see how force play between the floor and the partner, and will investigate change of postures to learn to recognize different dance sensations.
Tuesday 10th: "Connection and preparation to movement"
What happens between the leader and the follower before the actual move? How do we achieve a relax sharp-cut lead ? Dance movements cannot always be seen from the outside... Getting ready to move is part of the steps and dance movements. We will offer some specific techniques to do so, and will help you raise awareness of the body states useful for dancing tango with musicality and a sense of freedom.
Wednesday 11th: "Fluidity"
We will seek to improve fluidity on 2 levels: in the dialogue between dance partners and in everyone own movements. The means used to obtain improved fluidity will be alterations, rebotes, and boleos.
Thursday 12th: "Milonga"
Milonga con traspie and/or milonga Lisa... we don't need to choose! Edutainment will be the keyword for our approach of the milonga class. We will help you reach a privileged, personal, and playful way of dancing milonga with musicality.
To register, please fill out the form below. To contact us, please write to email@example.com or call Gwen Denigot +33 (0)6 61 58 91 84.

We recommend that you register with a partner ; solo registrations will be put on a waiting list until a partner is found.
A light buffet (softs drinks, snacks...) is offered by Les Elles during the practica. People who attend the whole evening might want to bring diner and will have access to a micro-wave.

Maria Filali is well known in Paris where she is missed a lot when traveling all over Europe for teaching and performing! Her workshops or women technique classes are highly expected by her followers and new students as well because of her elegance and unique technique. Maria is a contemporary dancer and tango professional for 15 years. She likes being on stage as much as teaching, something she does with great professionalism, knowing how to be both benevolent and demanding with her students.
Daniel Carlsson is Swedish from an Argentinean mother who used to sing tangos when he was a child. As early as 19, Daniel began taking tango classes, especially in Buenos Aires, with maestros like The Dinzel. Dancing turned quickly into a real passion, which he explored taking workshops and meeting tango dancers from all kind (Nancy & Damian, Gustavo Naveira & Giselle-Anne, Capussi & Flores, Chicho, Claudia & Esteban, Gavito, Fabian Salas, Gabriel & Natalia, Fernando & Wilma, etc.). From the very beginning, Daniel is interested in diversity and versatility of tango dancing.
In the 90s, Daniel travels and teaches all around Scandinavia; he begins building the Tangokompaniet School in Malmö (Sweden) with his sister Jessica, wishing to develop a real tango community based on quantity, quality and diversity. They thus target teachers, as well as DJs, assistants and dancers.
Since 2003, Daniel is teaching and performing in the best international tango festivals. He likes traveling a lot and speaks Swedish, Spanish, English, Danish and even a bit of French! For years, Daniel works with Anna Sol as a dance partner, then with Sigrid van Tilbeurgh since 2010. When he meets Maria in 2011, they immediately began a new collaboration grounded in shares values of teaching and dancing.
As a teacher, Daniel is recognized for his high sensibility and generosity. Daniel uses metaphors and well-crafted exercises to bring Tango down to its simple and funny roots, opening it in the meantime to something you can spent your whole life investigating!
